Nashville’s The Hermitage Hotel recently partnered with Draper James, a lifestyle brand founded by Reese Witherspoon and inspired by her Southern roots. Draper James custom-designed an exclusive, new staff wardrobe and new afternoon service will be named Spillin’ Tea with Draper James.

“We are honored to partner with The Hermitage Hotel and play a part in the latest chapter of this iconic Nashville hotel’s story,” said Kathryn Sukey, head of design, Draper James. “We worked closely with the team at The Hermitage Hotel on a color palette that speaks to the evolution of the hotel’s interiors and on a staff wardrobe that represent the perfect mix of new Nashville and heritage Nashville. I know when any employee wears them, they will embody the confidence we always set out to inspire.”

With a new print known as The Hermitage Ditsy Floral, the staff wardrobe honors the The Hermitage Hotel’s role in the ratification of the 19th Amendment with yellow accents emblematic of the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Female staffers will wear a special edition of Draper James’ Loretta dress with the print, and tops, the brand’s signature blazers, custom pencil skirts and trousers designed for the hotel. Bellmen will be dressed in Draper James suits in Draper James Navy with Ditsy Florals accents like ties and pocket squares. Some of the items will be available for purchase.

“Guests who visit The Hermitage Hotel are met with elevated, approachable luxury deeply rooted in Southern hospitality,” said Molly Hardie, owner, The Hermitage Hotel. “Our partnership with Draper James is a natural extension of this spirit. It was a pleasure to work side-by-side with this quintessentially Southern, female-founded brand to create a wardrobe for our hotel team and a signature print that seamlessly adds a modern, fresh edge to the hotel’s timeless elegance.”

The limited-time Spillin’ Tea with Draper James will feature a menu of classic Southern fare inspired by Witherspoon’s Whiskey in a Teacup cookbook. The tablescapes will incorporate linens from Draper James with The Hermitage Ditsy Floral print. The service is offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 2–4 p.m.

“We look forward to welcoming guests and locals alike to this special edition of our Afternoon Tea service and showing our Southern Hospitality to all who visit,” said Dee Patel, managing director, The Hermitage Hotel. “We were delighted to work with Draper James to tailor the perfect wardrobe that reflects the soul of the hotel and will allow our team to look great and feel great when they take care of our guests with The Hermitage Hotel’s warm and gracious hospitality.”

Meet 5 Women Shaping the Brixen/South Tyrol Travel Experience

Although a destination’s terrain, cuisine and cultural attributes always draw travelers in, it is often the people they meet that make the trip an enduring memory rather than a box to be checked off. It’s a job responsibility that people working around the Plose and adjoining town of Brixen (in Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region) take seriously. This is even more true for five women dedicated to introducing visitors to new aspects of the time-honored ski, leisure and hiking mountain destination in the Dolomites.

Mindfulness City in Kingdom of Bhutan Unveiled as Future Economic Hub

In front of an audience of 30,000 Kingdom of Bhutan residents and officials, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck presented his vision for a new economic hub in Bhutan. Located between India to the south and China to the north, Bhutan is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Bhutan came late to global tourism. It opened its borders to international visitors in 1974 and, while tourism definitely increased, residents are enduring “light” rush-hour traffic in Thimphu, its capital city, as the only Asian capital without traffic lights.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
