TAP Air Portugal continues to expand North American operations with an announcement focusing on new benefits on the way for U.S. members of TAP’s loyalty program TAP Miles & Go.

TAP rebranded the loyalty program more than one year ago. In that time, it has amassed 280,000 U.S.-based members. The updates focus on status-matching members and letting members accrue large numbers of miles quickly with limited-time sales and bonuses.

Throughout March, the airline offers five times the normal amount of enrollment miles for new members. Promotional code BIRTHDAY01 grants new members 1,000 miles. Existing members can invite friends and use referral codes to get 1,000 bonus miles as well.

The airline is also offering a limited-time opportunity for members to get bonus miles through the miles shop. Depending on the amount of miles members purchase, they can receive up five times that amount. For example, members will receive 100,000 miles when purchasing 20,000 miles for $870.

For travelers who want to boost mileage accrual even more, Club TAP Miles & Go offers a number of benefits including monthly bonus miles, priority check-in, lounge access, extra bonus miles on TAP flights and much more. March 9–31, the club is hosting a campaign where members who join earn triple miles, instantly credited to the loyalty account.

To help members make use of all the bonus miles, TAP is rolling out a redemption campaign. Members can take advantage of 25 percent award discount prices on selected routes when using miles.

TAP’s foothold in North America has been on a steady climb since 2015. In summer 2015, the airline operated 16 trans-Atlantic flights. This summer, the airline operates more than five times that number from nine gateways.
