A new survey by Love Home Swap reveals Americans’ travel bucket lists. According to the survey, more than three-fourths of Americans have a travel bucket list, but only 3 percent visited all the destinations on their list, with cost the top barrier.

The top countries on Americans’ travel bucket lists are Japan, Finland, Thailand, Portugal and Argentina. Unfortunately, about 45 percent are unlikely to visit even one of the destinations on their bucket lists. Other than cost, barriers include not having someone to travel with, not enough travel knowledge and indecisiveness when it comes to booking a trip.

The study also showed only 4 percent have home swapped, though 14 percent plan to do so in the future. One-fifth are nervous about home swapping and a little more than one-third aren’t interested in a home swap.
