If you’re considering traveling to see your favorite National Football League team play at home this season, a new survey from CheapHotels.org might change your mind. The brand compiled survey results on ticket costs for two-plus hotel stays in a nearby city center to determine the priciest teams to watch play at home.
The survey considered average pricing for home games for side-by-side seats, excluding upper-level seats, and two nights in the most affordable available room at a 3-star or higher hotel in the nearest city center.
It revealed fans spend the most to watch the New England Patriots play at home, with an average cost of $1,371, including $804 for two tickets and $567 for two nights in a Boston hotel. In second place, Green Bay Packers fans pay $1,337. Green Bay Packers fans also pay the most for hotel accommodations out of all team fan bases.
In third place, Philadelphia Eagles fans pay, on average, a total of $1,001 to attend a home game and stay in a mid-level hotel in Philadelphia for two nights.
The most affordable teams to watch at home include the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.
