Are warmer places beckoning? You’re in luck: The new opening of Duke’s East in Botswana’s Okavango Delta by Natural Selections is the perfect reason to pack your bags. Situated in a secluded area of the delta’s northern section, close to a channel drawing all sorts of magnificent creatures, the four-room camp is a stylish add-on or private option to Duke’s Camp.

Each generously sized canvas safari suite provides breathtaking views of the Okavango Delta thanks to a treetop position on raised wooden decks. Nestled into the leadwood and ebony trees, the vintage-style accommodations feature hand-carved four-poster beds, mahogany sideboards, Persian rugs, swish fabrics, wood floors and richly patterned kilims.
Ample en-suite bathrooms for each tent are adorned with brass fixtures, an outdoor shower and private viewing deck. Leather campaign chairs on each deck are perfect for watching for local wildlife, such as elephants and red lechwe, to saunter majestically into view.

In the camp’s main mess area, travelers are met with stylish safari charm from a bygone era, from the carved tables and antique rugs to cabinets filled with African memorabilia and collectibles. Sumptuous, multicourse meals reflecting the best of the African bush are served with crystal and silver. After dinner, there’s time for reflection and camaraderie around a communal fire pit before heading back to your private sanctuary.
