Believing everyone of all abilities and skills should have a fulfilling ski experience, Steamboat Ski Resort partnered with Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports to allow all to hit the slopes, no matter their abilities. A nonprofit focusing on empowering lives through adaptive recreational activities, STARS will help Steamboat Ski Resort offer an adaptive ski experience for skiers and snowboarders with disabilities.

The partnership will allow the resort to offer specialized equipment and lessons for skiing and snowboarding, as well as summer activities like hiking, equine therapy, kayaking and waterskiing within Steamboat Springs. In addition to these activities, the resort also offers an Inclusion Program and Buddy Program. The Inclusion Program sees a professionally trained instructor guide special needs guests while the Buddy Program is best for adaptive skiers and riders who don’t need lessons but may require assistance once on the slopes.
