Six Senses prides itself on its sustainability practices. “We are incredibly proud of the achievements being made by our NGO and community partners on the ground. Each resort has taken on unique projects based on the local need and is aiming for the greatest measurable impact at that destination. And I welcome all our guests to join us in celebrating these projects and partnerships, which are only made possible by guest visits and ongoing support,” said Jeff Smith, vice president of sustainability, Six Senses.

Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam created a protected nest area for endangered green sea turtles, resulting in 6,929 hatchlings returning to the ocean. Also in Vietnam, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is home to critically endangered langur monkeys, with 42 babies arriving in 2022. Brand-wide, Six Senses preserved or restored more than 14.5 miles of local habitat.

The property gives guests the opportunity to experience the unique culture and traditions of the local community. Across all resorts, Six Senses provides better access to education and skill training for 8,528 local students. Guest participation in volunteering is an important contribution, with 19,403 guests volunteering time in 2022.

Each Six Senses property is home to an Earth Lab. These spaces are used to host workshops concerning sustainable living.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.

Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection Review

I am looking out at Vietnam’s largest city from the country’s tallest building. Sitting in a comfortable chair facing the floor-to-ceiling window, I have taken in the view in daylight and darkness at dusk and dawn. It’s ever-changing and always hypnotic.
