Fulfill your dream of staying in one of the most iconic settings in the film industry with Airbnb’s new Hobbiton. Celebrating the 10^th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Airbnb welcomes guests to Middle Earth with an exclusive, overnight stay at the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand, located less than three hours from Auckland.

The set, featured in the The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, won the hearts of many over the years thanks to its peaceful and simple atmosphere, from rolling green hills to the serene nature of hobbits inhabiting the land in their cozy homes. The film set, situated on a 2,500-acre working farm owned by Russell Alexander and his family, invites guests to live like Bilbo Baggins.

Alexander will host three, individual, two-night stays for up to four guests at $10 NZD per night. The experience in The Shire includes overnight accommodations curated by the trilogies’ creative director Brian Massey, including a writing nook fit for Bilbo Baggins at The Millhouse. Guests will also enjoy private access to a personal Hobbit Hole, perfect for afternoon tea and relaxation, as well as an evening banquet in The Green Dragon Inn with a feast of beef and ale stew, whole roast chickens, freshly baked breads and plenty of ale. One can’t forget about Second Breakfast or Elevenses, something guests will also indulge in during their stay. The experience also includes a behind-the-scenes private tour of the Hobbiton movie set.

Booking opened Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. EST and remains open for guests to vie for this experience of a lifetime. Stays take place March 2–4, 9–11 and 16–18. Guests must have a verified Airbnb profile. Maximum occupancy is four persons, with accommodations including two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two kings.
