A new airline is making final preparations to take to the skies over Taiwan next month.
Starlux Airlines is set to commence operations this month. In October, the airline received its first Airbus A321neo. The plane is the first Airbus A321neo based in Taiwan, the airline said. The aircraft’s Airbus Cabin Flex lets the airline configure the seats in a new way, while providing more seating and spacious accommodations. The aircraft has 188 seats, including eight in business class and 180 in economy.
The aircraft’s business offerings include personal entertainment, lie-flat seating and other standard business-class features. WiFi is provided throughout the entire aircraft.
“Congratulations to STARLUX Airlines on their first ever aircraft delivery! We are thrilled that STARLUX has selected the most efficient A321neo to start operations in Asia,” said Christian Scherer, CCO, Airbus.
The entire order consists of 10 Airbus A321neos. Three will be delivered before the airline commences operations this month. The airline’s inaugural routes include service to Macau (MFM), Da Nang (DAD) and Penang (PEN).
