Handcrafted, award-winning wine is already ample reason to head to Clos Malverne, a family owned and operated wine estate in Devon Valley, just outside of Stellenbosch. An additional reason is the new, exclusive exhibition titled A Void in the Landscape showcasing paintings and small-scale sculptural works by seven renowned South African artists.
Staged as a joint venture with the North-West University Gallery in Potchefstroom, the exhibit is grouped in Clos Malverne’s restaurant, with its gorgeous wraparound glass balcony. Featured artists include sculptors Wilma Cruise and Gordon Froud, landscape installation artist Strijdom van der Merwe, and painters Pauline Gutter and Retha Buitendach. The exhibit is until the end of January 2014.
