SkyTeam opened a new airport lounge at Vancouver International Airport last month. The company’s seventh branded lounge worldwide and first in the Americas is located next to gate 53 in the new Duty Free area of the international terminal.
The lounge spreads across 528 square meters with two separate wings, floor-to-ceiling windows and seating for 128 visitors, plus showers, a dedicated business area and TV lounge.
Food and beverage options include a noodle bar, buffet with dishes like West Coast smoked salmon, beer from microbreweries and wines from area wineries.
The lounge is open to SkyTeam Elite Plus members, as well as business- and first-class passengers traveling with SkyTeam member carriers. The Vancouver lounge joins existing lounges in Dubai (DXB), London (LHR), Hong Kong (HKG), Sydney (SYD), Istanbul (IST) and Beijing (PEK).
“Vancouver is a key SkyTeam gateway between the rest of Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe. A shared lounge enables our members to offer an elevated airport experience to their top customers, while strengthening our brand in the market,” said Perry Cantarutti, CEO, SkyTeam.
