Singapore Airlines brings passengers new dining options, focusing on an array of healthy menu items. The added offerings include a mixture of Western- and Asian-style meals packed with nutrients and vitamins. In business and first class, passengers can choose from steamed sea bass with a lettuce purée, tofu cheesecake or watermelon gelée, among others. Premium-economy and economy-class passengers will also see new menu items, such as steamed fish in wolfberry sauce and quinoa with ratatouille and chickpeas.

The airline consulted nutrition expert Mayura Mohta throughout the creation of the new menu items. “The new ‘Deliciously Wholesome’ meals are designed to restore and rejuvenate the body, especially on long-haul flights,” said Mohta. “These foods are rich in macronutrients such as complex carbohydrates, lean protein, good fats, fibre and healing phytonutrients that nourish the body. The dishes also contain special active micronutrients which can help alleviate travel-induced stresses such as dehydration, fatigue and jetlag.”

The meals will be available on select flights originating in Singapore beginning this month, as well as in SilverKris lounges at Singapore Changi Airport.
