AirAsia launched a new online campaign this month, inspiring travellers to share their travel goals and stories. The campaign, #WhyIFly, also displays the beauty of the rural Philippines with the help of Filipino photographers and videographers. “Travel inspiration is everywhere. People are eager to break their routines, and are hungry for new and authentic experiences,” said Joy Cañeba, CEO, AirAsia. “Thanks to the internet, Filipinos are becoming increasingly aware of the beauty and vibrant natural wonders of the Philippines and social media has made it very easy for people to share their discoveries, and spread a sense of wonder.” The campaign includes the #WhyIFly challenge, a social media contest hosted on Instagram. Entrants are required to post one photo of their travel per day for five days, with captions explaining why they fly. Winners are randomly picked through Sept. 30, for a total of four prize recipients winning airfare for two to Bohol, Palawan, Tacloban or Kalibo.
