Love the winter season? Get out into it in a very real way while paddling through the waters of Antarctica with Sea Kayaking Adventures. The exclusive dates for this exciting expedition are Feb. 16–28, 2025, with space limited to just 10 kayaking seats.

What to expect? Home base is the MS Seaventure, a ship with a 1-A Super ice class rating — the highest ice class rating given to passenger vessels. She’s just the right size to slip into channels, bays and remote coves where kayaking conditions are great and where wildlife abounds.

Onboard spaces include the Citizen Science lab and library. For relaxation, there’s also a fitness center, sauna and heated saltwater pool.

By day, expert and experienced guides lead the way through the Southern Ocean past craggy mountains of ice to where penguins are hanging out. Paddle past Weddell and Southern fur seals and watch as seabirds including terns, petrels and albatrosses wheel overhead.

Meals include delicious fare and the option to dine outside on the Lido deck when the weather is inviting. Throughout the journey, passengers can enjoy shipboard lectures and fascinating presentations offered by the expedition crew.

The company also offers kayaking, whale watching, camping, hiking and lodge-to-lodge excursions in destinations including British Columbia, Cuba, Baja, Africa, Europe, Galápagos and Patagonia. Prices for the February Antarctica trip begin at $13,000 per person for early bookings.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
