New security scanners at airports may shorten the wait time in security lines and ameliorate the overall traveling experience. These new scanners will be able to project three-dimensional images of suitcases and backpacks for a more comprehensive view of the interior and exterior pockets. Travelers will no longer need to unpack laptop computers or other electronic devices because the scanners will be able to peer into every inch of a carry-on bag. Those dreaded bins that keep some travelers packing and unpacking for way too long are about to get a makeover, as well. Larger bins will be available so less time is spent dumping contents into three or four separate bins and then scrambling to shove everything back into bags on the other side of the scanner. This new equipment will continue to undergo testing at Changi Airport in Singapore, considered one of the world´s best and most forward-thinking airports.
