Rosewood Hotels & Resorts prepares for the summer season with the debut of Summer Immerse, a collection of adventures and activities allowing guests to broaden their horizons and go deeper into destinations around the world. Each experience has been thoughtfully created, from culinary journeys to active adventures. 

“If the last two years have taught us anything it’s that travel is an incredibly positive force, and one that helps us learn, grow, and really connect with ourselves and our global communities,” said Radha Arora, president, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “This summer, we invite our guests to awaken the full spectrum of their senses and seek to provide them with their pick of unique activities pegged to both marquee cultural moments and the free spirit of summer – from a courtyard party celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in London to monitoring turtle nesting activities in the British Virgin Islands.”

Guests who want to immerse themselves in a world of food and tasting experiences can choose from a wide variety of options. At Rosewood Mayakoba, the Taste of Yucatan: Gin-Making Workshop in Riviera Maya, sees the only gin producer on the Yucatan peninsula, Roberto Brinkman of Gin Katun, lead a workshop and teach guests how to distill Gin Katun. The experience is followed by a cocktail tasting.

At Hôtel de Crillon, Xavier Thuizat offers guests the opportunity to discover the property’s wine collection. This two-hour experience includes five tastings from prestigious vineyards accompanied by five epicurean bites created by the hotel’s executive chef. Guests are also invited to Rosewood Beijing to take part in Peking Duck Making. In this experience, Michelin-starred Country Kitchen shows guests how to create Beijing’s most popular dish, Peking roasted duck.

For an immersive experience in a destination’s culture, Rosewood properties feature exciting opportunities, such as the Royal Celebration in London at Rosewood London, where guests can join the Jubilee Courtyard Party. At Rosewood Phuket, guests can get a special look at a local home for retired elephants, where they will learn about these great creatures in their natural habitat. Film enthusiasts can venture to Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Siena, Italy, for a newly launched tour of famous movie locations in the region. Led by an expert guide, guests travel in and around Montalcino, Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia.

For a more sustainably focused experience, Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands offers guests the chance to work with scientists to tag endangered sea turtles and collect information as part of a conservation initiative. At Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, guests embark on an excursion of the region, touring the sustainable and organic Via Organica ranch before enjoying an authentic Mexican lunch.

Focusing on one’s physical and mental health is important, and Rosewood encourages guests to try one of the immersive wellness experiences this summer. Try some unique spa experiences, from ancient Bahamian treatments to detox teas at Rosewood Baha Mar. For a more active approach, Rosewood Villa Magna brings guests on a guided power walk through El Retiro, one of Madrid’s largest parks.
