There’s a new option for dining beneath the twinkling night sky of Istanbul. Marcello, on top of The Stay Boulevard Nisantasi, invites diners to indulge in authentic Italian dishes while savoring views of the winding Bosphorus River. The venue, designed by famed design studio Autoban, was named after famed actor Marcello Mastroianni, who starred in the classic Fellini film La Dolce Vita.

Burgundy-tinged marble and bespoke frescoes are part of the décor, which includes olive and citrus trees and a terracotta-tiled terrace. Be sure to arrive early so there’s ample time to admire the art collection displayed in the entrance, with original works by artists including Jeff Robb, Vahram Davtian, Sedat Girgin and Erdal Akbaş.

The menu features regional and national favorites such as Milanese and Neapolitan pizzas, classic Delizia lemon dessert, Genoese focaccia di Recco, tiramisu, osso buco and risotto — all created from imported Italian ingredients and fresh local elements. The golden-hued limoncello on the restaurant menu is a blend created by Chef Mastroianni, while a well-stocked wine cellar offers local and international labels. The kitchen and menu are under the direction of Head Chef Luigi Mariconda.

But it’s not just the food drawing people to The Stay Boulevard Nisantasi. Part of the award- winning The Stay Hotels collection, the property’s stylish interior boasts 82 guestrooms and suites with light-drenched spaces, headboards crafted from vegan leather, cool marble surfaces and rich woods designed by architect Mahmut Anlar.
