The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester rings in the spring season with special spa and culinary offerings in time for Mother’s and Father’s Day. The new experiences only top the already impressive array of activities offered in the region, including kayaking along the Hudson River, getting in a game of golf at Maple Moor Golf Course and attending the Westchester Wine & Food Festival.
Spa offerings include the Spring Equinox Spa Treatment. The 90-minute experience combines dry skin brushing, a detoxifying algae wrap and massage, intended to eliminate toxins accumulated through the winter and restore vitality. Another spring spa treatment is the Ultimate Radiance and Renewal Facial, a 90-minute treatment consisting of a brush cleanse, skin radiance mask, crystal massage, lifting mask and scalp massage. For men, the spa offers the Men’s Facial, for 60 minutes of cleansing, facial exfoliation, steam, extraction, massage and a mask.
On Mother’s Day only, guests enjoy Mother’s Day Tea Service in the lobby lounge. The afternoon tea menu includes sandwiches such as smoked salmon with dill and asparagus and cucumber with mint cream cheese. Dessert is a petit four collection of chocolate opera cake, fruit tarts, macaroons and madeleines. Each mother receives a complimentary glass of Shramsberg Blanc de Blanc wine. Reservations are required.
For children 11–18, the Junior Chef’s Academy offers a seasonal baking workshop with the hotel’s pastry chefs. Topics include kitchen safety and baking techniques. Each child leaves with a chef’s apron, hat and set of baking tools.
Other special spring programs include live music in the lobby lounge every Thursday evening in April and May, 5–8 p.m.
“As the seasons change, so do the unique experiences available at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester,” said Maureen Stella, director of sales and marketing, The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester. “Spring is a time of joy and renewal and now that the new season is here, we are pleased to treat our guests to these new seasonal offerings, whether it’s a restoring facial treatment, afternoon tea with the family to celebrate mom, an inspiring culinary experience for the children, or an intimate night in The Lobby Lounge with live music.”
