The new luxury spa Villa Stéphanie at Oetker Collection’s Brenners Park Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, Germany has garnered a Tatler Award for its Digital Detox program. With the goal of helping guests sleep better by disconnecting from technology, features include metal shields embedded in room walls to block high-frequency signals and sounds from neighboring guestrooms. Throughout the hotel, specially shielded cables reduce electro-magnetic fields, and a bedside switch allows guests to choose to deliberately disconnect from the hotel’s electrical supply for a night of uninterrupted sleep in a peaceful environment.
