The Radisson Hotel Group just announced its debut in Pakistan. The introduction kicks off a plan to open 10 hotels and operate 2,000 rooms in the country by 2020.
The second-most populous city in Pakistan, Lahore, is the capital of Punjab and home to more than 11 million people. The new hotel is expected to open in Lahore by December 2020.
“We are delighted to be entering Pakistan with the largest hotel signed by Radisson Hotel Group in South Asia and our upscale, Scandinavian-inspired Radisson brand. The towering size of the development, combined with its premium location, provides us with an excellent opportunity to enter Pakistan’s hotel market and remarkable visibility with which to establish the brand,” said Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group.
The 400-room property will be part of a massive mixed-use development housing offices, a retail mall and luxury residences. The hotel will include an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a rooftop restaurant, a lobby lounge, a spa, fitness center and a swimming pool.
