Qatar Airways is set to unveil a new business-class seat at ITB Berlin in March. The unveiling also includes the new concourse F at Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

The new seats will be across the fleet in Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s and a new seat development will be in place for the 787s as the new seat cannot fit in the 787. Qatar will receive 23 wide-body planes this year. The eighth of 10 A380s is due to be delivered in the upcoming weeks.

“With the kind of product we offer, we will continue to generate demand,” said Akbar Al Baker, group chief executive, Qatar Airways Group. “The [airport] terminal was designed for expansion as we grow the airline and this is what we will do.”

The carrier’s network is set to grow by 15 destinations in the upcoming year.

Hamad International Airport is expanding Concourse F and will add to the existing terminal, swelling capacity to 65 million passengers annually. Foster and Partners is handling the concourse designs. The airport handled 30 million passengers in 2015, about 48 million less than Dubai (DBX) — the world’s largest airport for international passenger traffic.

The airport features 12 lounges, leisure facilities like a pool and squash court, new tech features and premium-branded duty free. New biometric-friendly e-gates are also rolling out in the airport with cards free to residents over 18 years of age, as well as chip-reading passports.
