Qantas offers passengers more travel options through South America as part of an expanded relationship with fellow oneworld partner LAN Airlines. The expanded options include LAN-operated flights from Santiago, Chile to six destinations, including Rio de Janeiro (GIG) and Sao Paulo (GRU) in Brazil; Lima (LIM) in Peru; and Chile’s La Serena (LSC), Antofagasta (ANF) and Punta Arenas (PUQ). In return, LAN will codeshare on Qantas’ flights across its domestic network and the Tasman region.
“We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Qantas and to add eight new Australian cities to our network of destinations, which are located in key points of the island continent and allow access to the most attractive tourist destinations in Australia,” said Damian Scokin, CEO, LAN Airlines.
