Tour company Pure Adventures, which specializes in self-guided cycling vacations, announced it is branching out. They’ve just released Passport to the American West, consisting of one- or two-week, self-drive and hike vacations focused on the 2016 centennial celebration of the U.S. National Park Service.

Packages include a National Park pass, award-winning audio tour guides of the parks to be visited, high-end accommodation selections, a detailed road book and suggestions for hikes. All of this can be customized to fit a client’s budget and interests.

Travelers also receive the newest GPS-driven road trip technology developed by Just Ahead, a company producing hands-free audio guides for smartphones. The app delivers stories and maps as you drive and points out not-to-miss features and turn-by-turn driving directions. Car rentals are not included in the programs but can be arranged when booking the vacation. Lodging upgrades are also an option.

Among the packages being offered are Phoenix to Las Vegas, which starts in the Valley of the Sun and ends in Las Vegas, passing through the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce national parks on a one-week, seven night trip; and Las Vegas to San Francisco, a seven-day, six-night trip journeying from Las Vegas through Death Valley, Yosemite and Kings Canyon/Sequoia national parks before ending in San Francisco.
