Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve re-opens in October, following renovations required after last year’s devastating hurricane season.
The 144 beachfront guestrooms and suites feature new design accents inspired by the outdoor environment, which now boasts more than 300,000 new flora and fauna additions. The property’s five-bedroom villa is newly modernized while still retaining its historic character.
The signature restaurant and bar receives an update as well, though it re-opens in mid-November. Encanto Beach Club Bar & Grill, however, opens with the resort with a new dinner menu of coastal cuisine, Mediterranean recipes and lighter fare. The beachside restaurant Positive Sandbar now includes an omakase and ceviche bar.
The Forbes Five Star spa likewise receives new life, with a new spa cuisine concept, the latest cardio and weight equipment and retail space for accessory and gift boutiques.
“October 2018 marks an exciting next chapter in the legendary history of our Reserve. I am extraordinarily proud of our ladies and gentlemen, who have lovingly restored our treasured property with the same heartfelt care they show our guests,” said George Sotelo, general manager, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Dorado Beach as well as introducing the Reserve to a whole new set of guests experiencing the property for the first time.”
