From July 5–15, 2018, adventurous photographers can set sail for the Galapagos with International Nature & Cultural Adventures to take part in the Galapagos Photo Safari, offered in partnership with Frozen Hiker Photography. The 11-day excursion aboard the luxury yacht Integrity is limited to 14 participants. Professional photographers Don Tredinnick and Bruce Norman, along with two Galapagos naturalists from INCA, will accompany the group. Expert guidance will be available to help guests capture the magic of the islands, from Blue-Footed Booby chicks and sea lions to Waved Albatrosses and giant tortoises.
The trip is intended to be a learning experience to help photographers achieve the next level of picture-snapping skills, with coaching provided in areas including digital image management; image capture techniques; and processing in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and other programs. Guests will arrive for the photo safari in either Quito or Guayaquil in Ecuador before continuing by air to Santa Cruz. Prior to boarding Integrity, the itinerary includes a visit to the Darwin Research Station, exploring lava tubes, hiking to view giant tortoises in the wild and visiting the town of Puerto Ayora.
Prices begin at $9,195 per person based on double occupancy, including round-trip flights to the Galapagos (GPS) from Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE). Also included: all yacht accommodations; guides; meals; non-alcoholic beverages and draft beer while aboard the yacht; activities; tours; sightseeing arrangements; use of kayaks and snorkeling equipment while onboard; round-trip airport transfers; Galapagos transit tax and all arrangements detailed in the itinerary. International airfare, airport taxes and fees, Galapagos National Park fees, onboard WiFi, tips, wetsuit rentals and personal expenses are not included.
