Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort in Thailand marked its opening yesterday with a grand evening beachside party. The 255-room beachfront resort is Outrigger’s fourth property in Asia, joining Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas, Outrigger Phi Phi Island Beach Resort and O-CE-N Bali by Outrigger.
“The acquisition and opening of the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort gives Outrigger a wonderful and iconic resort property in Phuket, a remarkable holiday destination that goes from strength to strength,” said David Carey, president and CEO, Outrigger Enterprises Group . “Early indications are that our new property will do very well in the family, couples and active lifestyle segments of the global holiday market.”
P49, a heralded Bangkok-based design company, set the tone for the resort’s design and landscaping, giving it a decidedly Thai ambience.
