Norwegian launched flights between New York (JFK) and Paris (CDG). Beginning July 28, it is the airline’s first non-stop flight between the United States and Paris. Service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Paris followed two days later, with service between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Paris joining last week. “We are excited to continuously grow our U.S. operations,” said Bjørn Kjos, CEO and founder, Norwegian. “Our new nonstop flights will provide American travelers with greater choice when they go to one of Europe’s most magical cities. Not only will they be able to save a lot of money flying Norwegian, but they will also enjoy great, award-winning service onboard a brand-new fleet.” Paris is the sixth non-stop, European destination available to U.S. travelers through Norwegian. Currently the airline offers 41 routes from the United States, with 34 traveling to Europe and seven to the Caribbean. Later this year, Norwegian plans to unveil service between Las Vegas (LAS) and London (LHR) Oct. 31; Las Vegas and Oslo (OSL) Nov. 1; and Fort Lauderdale and Guadeloupe (PTP) Dec. 17. The new service to Paris operates four times weekly from New York, twice weekly from Los Angeles and once weekly from Fort Lauderdale. Brand-new Boeing 787 Dreamliners service all routes.
