Airline alliance SkyTeam opened a new lounge at Dubai International Airport last week, in the airport’s new Concourse D, Terminal 1.
The lounge is designed to combines modern aesthetics with a natural vibe, incorporating sleek lines, plant life and a digital art gallery. Unlimited WiFi will be available throughout the lounge, with additional tech services, such as printing, available for business travelers. A distinct entertainment room keeps noisy television programs from interrupting the relaxing atmosphere, as does a dedicated children’s room. Complimentary hot and cold foods will be available, as well as drinks at the bar. Shower facilities are also on site.
The lounge is more than 10,000 square feet and accommodates 180 passengers.
“Dubai is a rapidly emerging global aviation hub and the busiest airport in the world for international passengers, so this was a natural location for our latest lounge to meet the expectations of our premium passengers,” said Perry Cantarutti, CEO and managing director, SkyTeam. “We have plans to open more shared lounges across our network starting with Beijing later this year.”
