Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will open a new property in Fiji in 2017. Located on Malolo Island, the property will feature 24 pool villas and 66 residential villas. The resort will have its own private stretch of beach. Dining venues will include one restaurant and bar, plus a wine cellar and tasting table. Cuisine will be locally inspired and sustainable, incorporating ingredients from the property’s own garden and local farmers. The resort is making far strides to ensure sustainability. It will be 100 per cent solar powered and will use the first microgrid in the country with Tesla batteries. A worm-based septic system and water reservoirs will eliminate the need for a desalination plant. Tree reforestation on the property will also offset wood used in construction. Amenities offered for guests include a fitness center, clubhouse, kids’ club, boating, sailing, diving, snorkeling and tennis. A full-service marina is nearby and available for private yachts. Of course, the property will feature the signature Six Senses Spa, which will offer a multidimensional integrated wellness programme. Guests will receive personalized programmes based on individual needs and health, which will include spa treatments, fitness regimens and meditation. Six Senses Fiji will open late 2017. The resort will be situated a half-hour helicopter or seaplane flight from Nadi International Airport.
