The Grand Hyatt at SFO is the only on-airport hotel at San Francisco International Airport. It opened last week with more than 350 guestrooms, including 22 suites, across a four-acre property. The $237 million luxury hotel includes 14,435 square feet of meeting and event space, two dining options and its own art collection curated by the San Francisco Arts Commission.
The property is directly connected to all airport terminals via its own AirTrain station. Guests reach the lobby via an enclosed bridge, where they’re treated to expansive views of the airport and hills beyond.
Guestrooms create a calm, relaxing environment with soundproofed, floor-to-ceiling windows that provide ample opportunities for plane spotting. Guestrooms are available for day use as well, starting at $125 for an 8 a.m.–8 p.m. stay.
On-site dining includes Quail & Crane, a signature, all-day restaurant with an open kitchen and communal dining spaces. The menu combines Asian and Northern Californian cuisines. Twin Crafts Market & Bar is a cocktail lounge serving small bites and local wines and beers, connected to an all-hours market selling to-go items.
“With the opening of Grand Hyatt at SFO, we offer travelers a new benchmark in airport hospitality,” said Ivar Satero, director, San Francisco International Airport. “The new hotel reflects our commitment to deliver a world-class experience for our guests, with seamless access via our AirTrain system, sustainable building design, thoughtful service and amenities and inspiring works of public art. My thanks go out to Hyatt, the San Francisco Arts Commission and our entire design-build team for making this day a reality.”
“We are thrilled to open the doors to Grand Hyatt at SFO and welcome our international guests, SFO visitors and local friends,” said Henning Nopper, general manager, Grand Hyatt at SFO. “The completion of this hotel, an iconic addition to our Grand Hyatt brand, is a culmination of many years of hard work and planning by Hyatt, San Francisco International Airport, the great city and county of San Francisco, San Francisco Arts Commission and many more supporters.”

Mar 27, 2024Hyatt Regency Chicago Unveils Renovations This Spring
Half a century ago, several architecturally significant buildings not only changed the face of Chicago but also reintroduced the city as a world-class travel destination. Roughly a year after the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) emerged as the then world’s tallest building, Hyatt Regency Chicago opened its doors in August 1974. A second tower was constructed in 1980, making it one of the most ambitious hotels the city had seen, down to its above-ground skyway and underground concourse.
