Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts partners with Cisneros Real Estate to construct a new Four Seasons property in the Dominican Republic. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is slated to open in 2026.
Setting a new standard of sustainable elegance, the property will sit on a 64-acre site along the beachfront of Playa Esmeralda. The new hotel plans to integrate the natural beauties of the region, including a working coconut plantation, mangroves, an organic farm, lagoons and more.
Featuring 95 guestrooms and suites, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will also include 25 private residences of three- and four-bedroom units, each situated steps from the beach.
The low-impact property draws inspiration from the island’s native materials and colonial-era towns, while offering a variety of outdoor activities and dining venues. Guests can embark on a day of tennis, paddleball and pickleball before heading to the resort’s specialty restaurant, beachside grill, poolside bar, ceviche bar, juice bar, coffee shop or rum bar. Playa Esmeralda sits on the northern coast of the island, directly north of Santo Domingo.
