Luxury travelers in northern Italy enjoy new Alpine luxury with the August opening of Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti. Set in the UNESCO World Heritage-recognized Dolomites, the resort offers year-round stays, perfect for skiers and snow bunnies in the winter and nature-lovers in the summer with its ample hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Guests have access to 93 miles of slopes, four snowboarding parks and the largest ski area in the northern providence of Trentino. Two nine-hole golf courses are within driving distance.
Inside, the resort offers 22 residences and 88 suites, all with a light, all-natural vibe. Design concepts include plenty of open space, natural fabrics, local materials and woods and leathers. The Royal Pool & SPA Suite is the largest available and includes 4,000 square feet of living area with an indoor whirlpool, two saunas, a spa treatment zone and a terrace whirlpool.
On-site dining includes two restaurants and a bar, with healthy cuisine and regional flavors. The Dolomia Restaurant features traditional menu items, while Grual focuses on all-organic ingredients. The spa is one of the largest in the Alps, with 50,000 square feet, three pools, saunas and steam rooms.
“Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti will provide a compelling getaway for upscale travelers seeking an active experience amid incredible natural beauty,” said Albert Herrera, senior vice president of global product partnerships, Virtuoso. “This property will bring to life the values of the Lefay brand, including sustainability, wellness, and harmony with its environment. In an era where Italy reigns in popularity as a luxury destination, and adventure travel a top trend, Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti is debuting at the right time in the right place.”
