MSC Cruises plans on rolling out a new innovation: MSC for Me.
The digital solution will provide many answers to on-board dilemmas and opportunities for its travelers. The MSC for Me is expected on board this year on the MSC Meraviglia in June and the MSC Seaside in November.
The digital technology offers a wide-ranging list of amenities including a dedicated app that opens a world of sailing solutions, a navigation solution and a digital concierge. The concierge allows travelers to book fancy meals while the navigation solution helps you to locate the restaurant. Travelers have the opportunity to view possible excursions through virtual reality and organize the entire trip.
“From day one, innovation has been at the very core of what MSC Cruises stands for,” said Pierfranceso Vago, executive chairman, MSC Cruises. “Each time we bring to the market a new class of ship we develop a brand new prototype, so that we can best address the evolving needs of guests. This distinct approach has led to over 800 percent growth over the first ten years since we entered the cruising business. Technology at the service of the guest experience is advancing at a rapid pace and that is why we’ve already invested about $21 million in the first two ships alone, to develop technology and infrastructure that is capable of meeting the needs of guests for years to come.”
TailorMade released the innovation, with the intention of making it special for each visitor. Intelligent face recognition will help staff take care of guests through the use of interactive bracelets that connect guests to ship’s services and activated geo-located suggestions.
