Marriott’s Moxy Chicago opened earlier this month in the River North neighborhood. The 156-guestroom property provides a modern experience combined with in-demand amenities.
“Moxy flips the conventional hotel experience on its head, and we’re excited to bring this vibrant concept to Chicago for the first time with the opening of Moxy Chicago Downtown,” said Vicki Poulos, senior global brand director, Moxy Hotels. “We want to give guests and locals alike license to play with us — whether that’s taking part in trivia night, or enjoying some of the fun programming we have at all of our hotels that captures the flavor of the city we are in.”
In guestrooms, tech amenities such as smart TVs take precedence and a stylish design includes leather headboards and graphic pillows. Bar Moxy plays double duty, also serving as the check-in desk, with guests receiving complimentary signature cocktails on arrival. In the morning, it serves local premium coffee. In the evening, it features happy hours and a curated music program. Zombie Taco provides on-site dining; a 24-7 food truck concept, it offers international flavors and healthy options.
The Moxy Chicago Downtown is the 29th Moxy property worldwide and the seventh within the United States.
