Back by popular demand, Mandarin Oriental, Munich’s pop-up rooftop, chalet-style restaurant, The Alm opens for the season Nov. 1. Set on the hotel’s rooftop, the specially designed wooden chalet specializes in serving local Bavarian cuisine complemented by spectacular views of the majestic Alps, the sparkling winter scenery of Munich and the city’s iconic Frauenkirche church.
Traditional, cozy and inviting, the chalet is a true winter retreat right in the city. Servers dressed in authentic Bavarian dirndl and lederhosen attend to guests in a cozy setting featuring rich wooden interiors . Priced at €59 (about $80) per person, The Alm’s indulgent three-course dinner menu includes specialties such as a traditional Bavarian platter or Vienna organic chicken and schnapps.
The Alm is open for dinner Monday to Friday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday noon to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
