Upscale European hotel brand Le Méridien plans to launch its first-ever property in South Korea.
Marriott International signed an agreement with Cheonwon Industrial for the management of Le Méridien Seoul, scheduled to open Sept. 1. Located in the lively Gangnam District of the Korean capital, near the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, the hotel will be a convenient option for business travellers.
The hotel will feature 336 rooms and suites, including club rooms with access to a private lounge. Once opened, guests can enjoy Asian and international restaurants, a bar, an outdoor terrace, fitness facilities and an art centre.
Le Méridien currently operates a portfolio of 75 hotels in Asia Pacific, 45 located in China and India.
