While the Outer Banks, North Carolina’s, Hatteras Island is known for its natural beauty, breathtaking beaches and maritime legacy, it can be considered lacking in upscale accommodations. However, that is set to change this summer with the June opening of Edgecamp Pamlico Station, offering luxury, high-design, residential-style accommodations. The 14-suite boutique hotel pairs the best of a standalone home or Airbnb with the personalized service and amenities of a luxury hotel.

All of the property’s suites have a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bedroom — all designed by Jonathan Adler, and boasting stylish, chic and comfortable furniture and accessories in the potter and designer’s ethos of Modern American Glamour.
The hotel will offer a dedicated concierge to arrange services, ranging from wellness offerings, kitchen stocking, private chef booking, boat or jet ski delivery, kite surfing lessons, transportation and so much more. You name it, they are at your service.

The area is, in particular, a kite surfer’s dream, with low crowds, lots of sand dunes and sea oats, and access to unspoiled beaches. Private lessons or equipment rentals are available for kite surfing and more, including foiling, deep-sea fishing, jet skiing, dune buggy and biking.
Richard Fertig, CEO, Stomp Capitol, is a Wall Street trader turned hotelier who is behind the creation of Edgecamp Pamlico Station. In the next year, he will add Edgecamp Sporting Club as an added hotel amenity.
