On June 24, Lufthansa resumed three weekly flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Munich (MUC). The flights operate Tuesday, Friday and Sunday on an Airbus A350-900 offering business, premium-economy and economy cabins.
“Reopening our San Francisco connection to Germany is a significant step in Lufthansa’s relaunch on the West Coast, and reflects the rise in demand coming from the California region,” said Larry Ryan, senior director of sales, USA, Lufthansa Group.
Lufthansa also partnered with MediCare at Munich Airport to offer fast PCR Corona tests for travelers in the airport. The test requires a throat swab and results are available in three to four hours. An advance reservation is required. If the result is negative, travelers avoid the 14-day quarantine regulation required when traveling from certain countries.
Lufthansa will resume flights to Los Angeles (LAX) from Frankfurt (FRA), July 2.
