Kempinski Hotels announced plans for a new property in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The flagship luxury hotel is slated to sit within a larger “mega” development project.

Plans for the Kempinski Hotel Makkah include 380 guestrooms and suites, an all-day restaurant serving Levantine cuisine, coffee lounge, sky lobby and extensive meeting and event space. Direct access to a luxury shopping mall within the larger development is expected. The hotel aims to cater to luxury religious travelers, with easy access to religious points of interest.

“With our newly signed hotel project in Makkah, we will be present in the most important destination within Saudia Arabia and the world’s holiest city of Islam. We are proud that, together with Umm Al Qura for Development & Construction, a locally very well-established and highly respected real estate company, we will play a major role in shaping the all-new KAAR Boulevard which links our new project in Makkah with our previously signed property in Al Madina.
