Kempinski Hotels now delivers European luxury to Mexico with its first North American property. Located in the hotel zone less than a 30-minute drive from Cancún International Airport and the city’s central downtown area, Kempinski Hotel Cancún offers all of the expected Kempinski brand perks. That includes Lady in Red service provided by a brand ambassador-host who’s an expert in guiding guests to local experiences, dining, adventure and entertainment.

“Cancún is a top destination for travelers across North America who are seeking rich culture, fine dining, adventure and relaxation all while enjoying picturesque white-sand beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs,” said Aref Sayegh, general manager, Kempinski Hotel Cancún. “We are honored to introduce travelers to the Kempinski experience at Kempinski Hotel Cancún, where we’ve brought the iconic elements of our European brand and blended these with local elements of the destination to create a one-of-a-kind luxury product.”

The hotel offers 315 stylish rooms and 48 suites, along 1,200 feet of sandy beachfront — all with views of the sparkling sea. Amenities include a fitness center, sauna and steam rooms; a beauty salon; a club for kids; a tennis center; and private beach cabanas. For dining, there’s a choice of six on-property restaurants, including award-winning Fantino and the cozily romantic beachside Casitas.

Chef René Camelo is the creative force behind the menus. At Fantino, selections may include a starter of zucchini squash soup with scallop, ricotta ravioli and green peas; and a main course of filet mignon with parmesan gnocchi, Kalamata olive and a port wine reduction. For local and regional breakfast dishes, El Cafe Mexicano offers a Yucatan quesadilla with chicken in adobe tomato sauce, Oaxaca cheese, refried beans and ranchera sauce; or the Cancún — fresh berries, Yucatan honey, yogurt, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a mini bagel.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

The Argosaronic Islands Are Calling

The Saronic or Argo Saronic Islands of Greece call travelers to explore its seven small islands and islets brimming with history, natural sites and more. With most easily accessible by boat, the islands’ proximity to ports of Athens make the Saronic Islands an ideal destination for those preferring shorter boat rides. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips. From Piraeus port, you can access Hydra, Spetses, Aegina and Poros directly. Come explore these stunning islands with us and find the inspiration to plan your next trip to these islands. Hydra Hydra town curves around a slope overlooking the Argosaronic Gulf like an amphitheater and is considered one of the most romantic destinations in Greece. Most unique to the island is its lack of vehicles. People on the island get around on mules and donkeys as well as water taxis, making for a peaceful and laid-back day. Hydra lies a two-hour ferry ride from Piraeus port in Athens.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
