Kā‘napali Beach Hotel, which brands itself as Hawai’i’s “Most Hawai’ian Hotel,” is slated to undergo renovations in the coming months to further reflect Hawai’ian culture throughout the property. A $65 million refresh includes redesigns in 180 guestrooms, the addition of a new restaurant and new landscaping.
Guestrooms in the hotel’s Kauaʻi wing receive a new, muted palette reflecting the hues of the island and shadow boxes containing culturally significant items.
Kā‘napali Beach Hotel sits on a three-mile beach and offers 432 total guestrooms. Programming includes complimentary cultural activities such as ukulele lessons, language classes, canoe paddling and conch shell blowing. All renovations are expected to be complete by the end of the year.
“The focus of our upcoming $65 million project is to enhance our opportunities to provide the exceptional and culturally enriching guest experiences for which Kā‘napali Beach Hotel has become known,” said Mike White, general manager, Kā‘napali Beach Hotel. “The direction from our owners is that the project must reflect and respect the Hawai’ian culture and support our Po’okela programs that have been ongoing for over 30 years. In fact, our ‘ohana of nearly 300 will remain fully employed at KBH, ensuring continuity for our guests throughout this process.”
