JW Marriott Brand Debuts in Muscat

JW Marriott Muscat opened earlier in the month as the first JW Marriott-branded property in the city. The hotel is located in Muscat’s business hub, near the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. The location provides easy access to top Muscat landmarks, such as the Old Souq and Mattrah Corniche.

The property offers more than 300 guestrooms and suites, many overlooking Oman’s wadis. Ample event and meeting space is available, as is on-site dining and drinks, with five restaurants and lounges throughout the property. Cuisine ranges from classic Middle Eastern flavors to gastropub favorites.

The property puts a large focus on wellness and rejuvenation. The Spa by JW offers treatments across four categories — renewal, calmness, invigoration and indulgence. The fitness center encompasses three pools, a tennis court and multipurpose sports course.

Throughout guests’ stay, the hotel invites them to participate in daily rituals designed around wellness. The 108 Steps ritual, for example, encourages guests to walk clockwise in a circle for 108 steps, an exercise meant to discipline the mind and show respect for the flow of life.
