Late last month, JetBlue announced it will now offer daily flights from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Quito, Ecuador (UIO), making it the only airline to do so. Ecuador is the 22nd destination to be added to JetBlue’s repertoire of routes.
“Quito is one of the fastest growing destinations in Latin America and a world-class tourism destination. We are thrilled to bring our award-winning service and low fares to this underserved market. It also furthers our growth in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood where JetBlue will soon offer more than 100 daily flights to destinations across our network. Whether travelers are coming from South Florida, the northeast or the west coast, it’s never been easier to visit Ecuador’s historic capital city,” said Dave Clark, vice president, network planning, JetBlue.
Flights will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7 p.m. each day, landing in Quito at 10:34 p.m. Return flights will depart at 11:59 p.m., returning to Florida at 5:17 a.m. The route will utilize JetBlue’s Airbus A320, seating 150 passengers and offering complimentary and unlimited snacks, soft drinks and entertainment.
