Jet Airways is expanding its operations in Singapore next month with the launch of a new direct flight from Bengaluru (BLR) on its single-aisle Boeing 737 aircraft, enhancing connectivity between the ASEAN region and India. The new route will open up connectivity to cities including Hyderabad (HYD), Mangaluru (IXE), Coimbatore (CJB) and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV), via Bengaluru.
“Both Bengaluru and Singapore are popular destinations for information technology, tourism, trade and investment; therefore it was only logical for Jet Airways to facilitate the same for the Indian traveller,” said Jayaraj Shanmugam, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways.
The service will depart Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport at 11:10 and arrive in Singapore (SIN) at 18:10. The return flight will leave Changi Airport at 19:15 and arrive back in Bengaluru at 21:15.
As Jet currently offers daily flights from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL) and Chennai (MAA) to Singapore, the new route is a great additional option for travellers in southern India.
