After seeing the success of his other two restaurants, Chef Jean Imbert recently opened the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant, Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénéne, La Cour Jardinis, marking Imbert’s third restaurant at Hôtel Plaza Athénée.

Located in the hotel’s beautiful courtyard, La Cour Jardin welcomes guests for the summer, offering a new menu inspired by cuisine de soleil, which has been carefully curated with local, seasonal produce reflecting the colors and flavors of summer.
The new menu offers a variety of dishes, each designed to share, making La Cour Jardin the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch in the sun or a romantic dinner. Chefs Jean Imbert and Jocelyn Herland place seasonal flavor at the heart of the menu and draw inspiration from what nature does best in summer.

The menu showcases plant life in every shape and form, while collaborating with market gardeners, fishermen and farmers. The produce is carefully chosen to ensure the menu aligns with the seasons. Seasonal vegetables come directly from a family farm in central France, and tomatoes, aubergines, shoots, gem lettuces, courgette flowers and melons arrive from a vegetable garden located one hour from Paris.

Stick around for a delicious dessert menu curated by the hotel’s head pastry chef Elisabeth Hot. The menu features offerings that pair together with the food menu, each celebrating summer produce and more.

Jun 29, 2022Madeira Food on Foot Review
The best food tours go beyond reliving a newly arrived traveler of having to figure out which restaurant or bar to hit first. They also provide context in explaining how a destination’s crops and cuisine tie in with a place’s historical events and different populations. During a vacation in Iceland, 20-year veteran tour guide and proud Madeira native Jaqueline Freitas was reminded of this when she put herself in the hands of a savvy Reykjavik guide leading a street food tour.

Jun 22, 2022Savoy Palace Hotel Review
Savoy Signature Hotel Group continues to generate a buzz in international hospitality about the way its diverse portfolio shapes Madeira’s future as a destination; the brand keeps existing fans (particularly the traditional group of older British and German visitors) interested while drawing younger, more active travelers beyond the confines of Europe. The Savoy Palace, opened in 2019, took on the “legacy” mantle of a predecessor (the former Savoy Hotel) that stood on the same site, and then reopened with a lot of enthusiasm after the height of the pandemic passed.
