Feb. 10–July 29, 2018, Leonardo Da Vinci will be (sort of) in residence in Albuquerque at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. A special exhibition titled “Da Vinci — The Genius,” produced by Grande Exhibitions with the assistance of Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Rome and a variety of authorities on Da Vinci’s life and work, explores the artist’s fascinating world of art, science, music, invention and philosophy.
Born in 1452 during the Italian Renaissance, Da Vinci left behind a great and eclectic body of work, including designs for cars, bicycles, scuba gear and even a prototype for manned flight. Along with models of many of his inventions, the new exhibition will include original drawings.
