InterContinental Hotels & Resorts recently introduced a new high tea experience available only at properties across Australia and New Zealand, dubbed Haut Patisserie.
A unique art installation by Alexander Hall celebrating 200 InterContinental properties across the globe inspires the high tea. The installation was created with 200 Champagne bottles, each hand-painted by the artist and reflecting the 200 hotels and resorts.
A blend of art and patisserie, the experience includes edible artwork, such as macarons with Champagne jelly. Guests also receive a glass of Champagne.
“Champagne for me means happiness, joy, celebration and the idea of bringing people together. When I decided to paint on champagne bottles to celebrate the 200 InterContinental hotels, I wanted the bottles to reflect each InterContinental hotel’s unique personality, design and location,” commented Hall. “Collaborating on Haut Patisserie felt like a natural extension to fuse art and food together with the tradition of high tea. Australia is full of rich flavors and texture, both in dining and nature, and it’s been an honor to help bring this to life with another unique experience for guests.”
The high tea is available through May 31 and pricing differs according to property.
