InterContinental Hotels Group has unveiled a new program designed with small- and medium-sized enterprises in mind.
IHG Business Edge streamlines negotiation processes, rewards loyalty and consolidates data, bookings and content into an accessible customer portal, IHG says.
Development on the program took one year. In that time, input from 2,100 global small- and medium-sized enterprise customers was collected. The program had a pilot period with 300 companies from 17 countries. Before the official launch, more than 1,500 companies signed up to take part in the program.
To join the program, companies must have fewer than 250 employees, earn less than $50 million in revenue and spend at least $5,000 with IHG annually. Once a company is a member, the company’s travel manager can look at travel data including hotel spend, room nights and the average daily rate over the previous 12 months.
