Located along the breathtaking blue waters of Lake Fuschl and the base of the Austrian Alps, Rosewood Schloss Fuschl welcomes guests for an elevated, intimate and rare getaway. The restoration of the 15th-century castle features 98 furnished guestrooms, including 42 suites and six chalets.
Originally constructed in 1461 as a hunting lodge for the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg, Schloss Fuschal served as a backdrop for legendary hunts and court gatherings for more than three centuries. In the property’s transformation to Rosewood Schloss Fuschl, every aspect of the design pays homage to its rich history and the region’s natural surroundings. The resort is inspired by local flora and fauna, as well as the color palettes of the area’s spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Rosewood Schloss Fuschl offers a dynamic food and beverage experience with everything from alpine breakfast, lunch and dinner with local products, to afternoon tea with seasonal strudel sessions. Meals range from Salzkammergut-inspired cuisine to seafood dishes from local farms and suppliers. Guests have the option to choose between six food and beverage locations, including a bar.
Take advantage of Asaya Spa at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl. Guests are greeted by a sense of tranquility and luxury as soon as they step inside. The spa incorporates Rosewood’s pillars of well-being: emotional balance, fitness and nutrition, physical therapies, skin health, and community engagement. Asaya Spa includes indoor and outdoor infinity pools, three saunas, one steam bath, eight thoughtfully designed treatment rooms, and fitness center. Guests looking to embark on a health journey can experience Rosewood Schloss Fuschl’s curated two- or three-day retreats focusing on biohacking, dynamic aging, body wraps and scrubs, and holistic paths to wellbeing.
The hotel invites guests to experience all the best parts of Salzburg. Enjoy excursions such as private, after-hour tours of local museums; private concerts; hot-air balloon rides over the Alps; dirndl-making workshops; and more. Guests can also get out and explore the great outdoors on guided hikes, stargazing trips, and eco-friendly boating and fishing with a local master fisherman.
