Hyatt announced more than 20 new hotels in its pipeline, expected to all open in Canada by the end of 2022. Three are slated for Niagara Falls, Ontario, including Hyatt Centric Niagara Falls, Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls and Hyatt Place Niagara Falls.
Among the hotels are the first Hyatt House and Hyatt Centric hotels in Canada and the first Hyatt hotels in the Niagara Falls market. Niagara Falls is one of the busiest tourist destinations in the world, welcoming nearly 15 million visitors per year. The Hyatt hotels are slated to sit immediately opposite key landmarks and entertainment venues.
“Hyatt’s brand presence in Canada continues to steadily increase, as we successfully implement our strategy of growing with intent,” said Scott Richer, regional vice president of development, Canada, Hyatt. “We continue to see growth opportunities in the region and are confident in the direction and future of Hyatt — across all brands.”
Other Hyatt hotels slated to open in Canada by 2022 include five properties in Toronto, as well as properties in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa.
